Web development comes in two flavors: Front-end development and back-end development. Some of the skills in these two flavors overlap.A front-end developer takes the visual design of a website. Back-end development deals with more advanced programming and interactions on web pages. A back-end web developer focuses on how a site works and how the customers get things done on it using certain functionality.
Application Development is the set of processes and procedures involved in writing software for small, wireless computing devices. Like Web application development, mobile application development has its roots in more traditional software development. One critical difference, however, is that Mobile apps are often written specifically to take advantage of the unique features a particular mobile device offers.
